PRESS RELEASE

Dixon agrees new Broncos deal

Kieran Dixon has agreed an extension to his current contract at London Broncos which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2014 season.

Dixon, 20, was originally scouted by the club’s development team while playing for Hemel Stags and was promoted to the senior squad in 2012. Kieran won the club’s Player of the Season award and was joint top try scorer with 16 tries. He made his England Knights debut at the end of the 2012 season and played twice during the European Cup in the same year.

Kieran has so far scored five tries and kicked a goal this season.

“I’m really happy to get another few years at the Broncos,” said Dixon. “Everything has gone really fast, it’s seems like just a few hours since I was making my debut against St Helens and playing the majority of the season. To be where I am now is just a massive achievement.

Head coach Tony Rea is equally enthused to have Kieran signed up saying: “People can see everything he does on the field. He contributes well and the really pleasing thing is he contributes off the field.

“He’s a really important person and he’s a pleasure to have around the place. He represents the club and everything we’re about by the way he represents himself.

“It’s a reward for what he does off the field complemented by what he does on the field.”

Good news. In fact if the opposite had happened it would have really signalled a lack of ambition by London.
