Huge tester for the players this week with the visit to last years Champions, Fev will want to prove we are the team to beat and will want to show Daryl and the fans how much improvement they have made since last season.

This game will be a huge test for both the players and Daryl as both will be determined to out think Mr Aston and his Eagles.

Sheffield 20-28 Featherstone

First Fev Try- England

M.O.M.- The Mighty Finn

Attendance - 1100 ( 700 Fev)

Come on lads do us proud, The Capper Army will be in full song

Should be a cracking game - pity it's not being played later in the season when the ground's a bit firmer.

Sheffield 42 Fev 16. Q six tries, Menzie to get the other.

This will be a close call. Our first "real" tester. No MOM for me. Everyone will have to earn that title on the night. To be played at the Don Valley according to press, due to condition of the kick ball surface.

Aye..... undone too many times by the dee dars for me to ever be that confident against them.

Missing sam n greg in t'centres n briggsy are big gaps against formidable and proven opposition.

I will happily be admonished on Thursday if im wrong.

This will be a hard game probably the hardest we will face all season. Aston seems to have DPs number at the minute as the eagles were the only team we didn't beat last season. I think the eagles will edge this one mainly because we are a few players light through injuries. So I'm going

Eagles 22 Fev 18

1st try hodson

Mom Kain

Att 750

Cheers for this, worked a treat. Shame about result that's all.

Too many mistakes against a very good side. I thought we tackled well but the problem was we were left with too much tackling to do.

I just don't feel comfortable with

Hardman at centre but at full back yes. Bostock had a shocker tonight after being outstanding off the bench all year. Feel sorry for England he did not deserve to be on the losing side.

Heads up lads it's a long season, its all about how you finish which we have found to our cost before.

Awful. Simply awful.

Ref, us, pitch, the sudden change of venue. Awful.

From a neutral perspective it was great, tight rugby played between two well matched teams which could have gone either way. The referee was just a referee, not perfect but did not alter the result. Not a great result for Featherstone but great for the competition.
