When Hunslet moved to SLS in the 1995/6 season the facilities at the stadium were probably amongst the best anywhere in the rugby league. At around the same time Dewsbury had a new stadium built with simular facilities to the ones at Hunslet. Now some 17/18 years later do we still rank well with these facilities.

We just rent the facillities , the only part of the ground that you can Go compare.com is the Phoenix Bar which belongs to Hunslet in a manner of speaking , and that his top notch..............The rest is looked after by Leeds City Council...

Dogga you are a penis at what point has anyone turned this into hunslet have the biggest bestest facility argument? We are a humble club with limited resources but with a massive history that counts for jack in today's game of bums on seats.

Today is the present that's what we are all dealing with, we are fortunate that actually our facilities aren't bad and we can all name worse And we could all make recommendations to make it better.

We'd also love to own our own ground but just not possible but hey at least the grass is cut regularly ;)

Assuming you're talking about spectator facilities, I think they reached their nadir two or three years ago. Remember the floodlight problems in the night games against Featherstone, and the TV match against Dewsbury? Remember how useless the PA used to be? (It's still not that great to be honest, but it is audible and actually sounds quite good on the video highlights). Remember all those missing rows of seats in the top tier? We can even sit on the far side banking in the sun (or wind, or rain) if ever we get a match that necessitates its opening.

I think we have to congratulate the club and (deep breath!) the council on finally working together to resolve such issues .

And on a related topic, I notice the forthcoming Thursday night match on the box against Batley has been announced without any threats of financial penalties for "frightening the users of the swimming pool" or whatever it was ...

Dewsbury tried to hoodwink the world by kidnapping one of their own for financial gain. I don't think that's ever happened in south Leeds

Under the bed? Mackey?
