All the pundits on here and elsewhere keep saying in this league to survive we have to win, or at least get a bonus point, from our home matches and pick up what we can away from home.

We have put in two absolutely cracking performances against top opposition, Halifax and Sheffield at home, and put in the total opposite performances in two away games to lesser opposition at Doncaster and York.

Is this a subconscious thing in players minds that the away games are not so important as long as we pick points up at home?

That needs drumming out of them if it is , as its a dangerous attitude to limit your pool from which your looking to pick

points . Stop the talk of survival and coming third bottom from which that attitude may derive , and start looking to win

each week . I'm convinced we have a top 8 squad here , lets get our attitude and mentality right every week , believe

in ourselves , and from that comes improved performances and see where we get . Come on town lets start tomorrow - we have

nothing to fear in this league ... Look at Sheffield , we should have stuffed them !!

surely everyone of the lads hates losing though. it dosent matter what you think will keep you safe or not, surely the competitive factor of sport will make you give 100% each and every minute of every game. watch brett carter, you can tell he hates losing and you know he gives you everything he can.

You've picked out one lad who puts his heart and soul in to the games there wonky, but can you say that for everyone. If every player is doing that then how come we have such a discrepancy in performances home and away. As I said, whether it's a subconscious thing or not there has to be a reason for the huge difference in performances at home and away!!!!

is it possibly the chilled out bus journey? at home the lads will turn up get into game mode then get fired right in. away you turn up,go on a 2-3 hour bus journey where its a relaxed attmosphere then straight off the bus and into the game.im not sure but its possibly an idea.
