You've started a new topic now, Karl Pryce to blame for delays on Eastern Terrace! Oh and probably the Western Terrace as well, if only he tried harder....

Slow progress, a little bit of movement, a few steps and then a grinding halt - and of course the terrace development seems a bit slow as well - but I still think, if KP was  allowed to get over the injury he seems to be carrying, and then played in a position to which he is more suited, he would be good for us.

I don't think water carrier is classed as a "position" in a rugby team GOR, but hey every team needs half a dozen these days so why not :D

He should play second row IMO

It could be, it could also be (and hallelujah it is IMO) that MS has woke up and smelt the coffee and has realised that we have fallen so far behind the dogs that we need to actually spend some money and actually buy a squad that can have fans confident that we have a chance against the dogs at home.

Please explain "we" Kelsey.

Please explain "we" Kelsey.

"we", as in the club, MS has always been a bit cautious with the budget, but now with the proposed SL1 & SL2, alongside the dogs aiming high like ourselves (Love rugby league club of the week is my reference for this, as GM stated he was aiming to be a top side in SL2) "we", the club will have to spend a bit more money than usual.

Please explain "we" Kelsey.

Here is the link: http://www.loverugbyleague.com/news_12604-club-of-the-week-dewsbury.html

Now note GM says "Finances is a big one, like it is for every club, but if there’s going to be a Super League One and a Super League Two, we want to be in that Super League Two and be a good force in it."

"We want to stay there – not be a team that’s up and down all the time – and we want to be a top end team in Super League Two in the medium term."

This is my reference as to "we".

But "we" the club don't have more money to spend - I suspect that you mean that "he" (MS) needs to spend more of his own money in future, and hence make the rest of us happy.

PM - Mark Sawyer would be a much wealthier man if he had not been involved with the Rams.

Or perhaps not quite so poor? The only reason I ask is does anyone know? I mean the Dogs fans (in the guise of the 35 or so shareholders, of which I am one) get to look at the Books of the Bulldogs and see the audited accounts every year and these are also explained in some detail. I may be wrong and it is none of my business (other than being a nosey git) but isn't the Rams a privatly owned company with only the one owner? Or am I wrong? And are your operating accounts for the year looked over by anyone else? Again the Rams with their bigger crowds, function rooms and car boot every Sunday bringing in the big bucks.......what do yo spend it on? The ground?...... Not a significant amount of development in recent years,  (we too at Batley have demolished the old stand and done quite a lot of painting and electrical work this year). On the players?........ Don't think so........so the only explaination is..........?

According to www.dewsburyrugbyleague.co.uk last year, there were 4 shareholders, all from the same family. The Batley shareholders who have more than a single share, all receive £1,000 dividend which is normally returned to the club.  That's what I do anyway. Honest people and true fans always want to support their club, not take out. Almost forgot, Also get free Mars Bars.

I went on the website you said, it's the ostriches one...

Listen to the Doc Kelsey, he knows what he's talking about. He is apparently Batley's second biggest benefactor and privy to the finances and internal affairs of all the clubs in the championship. This fact is borne out by his contributions on all the other forums where a word to the wise is required - and usually provided, whether welcome or not.
