Tech3 have signed Pol Espargaro. Okay, he's good enough to deserve a good team, but Cal may struggle with the Duke unless they suddenly manage to sort it out.

Congrats to Scott Redding, winning the Moto2 Grand Prix at Silverstone on Sunday. Unfortunately, Cal Crutchlow struggled in the MotoGP, the crashes he'd had in practice and qualifying maybe taking their toll.

On the other hand, Marc Marquez dislocated his shoulder in the race warm-up, had it put back in and hounded Jorge Lorenzo all the way to the chequered flag, overtaking him twice on the last lap before eventually trailing in by a fraction of a second. The kid is phenomenal! I'd love to see what he could do on the Ducati.

Cal looked as if he had mental issues yesterday, Redding took everything in his stride outstanding ride. He will be in GP next season as well.

Marquez is the rider most in tune with his bike for a long time, it really is part of him. The crash nearly took Cal adn the stewards out though (scary)

Great to see the Sheen tribute bikes.

An utterly terrifying pile-up in the Moto2 race. Bikes and bodies spinning through the air and smashing into each other. Amazingly, nobody was seriously injured.

Two hard luck stories from Philip Island.

1. Marc Marquez being disqualified for an infringement of a hastily-cobbled together rule that may have been gimmicky enough to be commonplace in F1, but not in proper racing. Outcome: unexpected bonus, as it keeps the title chase alive a bit longer. Every cloud... :)

2. Scott Redding's crash and resulting injury. Outcome: looks like his Moto2 championship lead is gone for good. :(

Feel really sorry for Scott, he has had to combat the weight disadvantage, and was unlucky to break his wrist.

Marquez, team are to blame, but Lorenzo rode so well.

Scott is not expected to ride at Motegi, so could lose the championship without even being able to fight for it. That's what is hard to take - if Espargaro had just raced better and taken points off Scott, it wouldn't be so disappointing.

Good man. I'm sure he doesn't want to win it this way.
