Featherstone this week embark on the road to Wembley with the visit to The Big Fellas Stadium of amateurs, Thatto Heath.

I don't think there will be too many changes this week as we need to get some consistency flowing in the team but I imagine Anthony England will be rested and any player carrying a knock.

Featherstone 72- 8 Thatto Heath

First Try - Lamont Bryan

M.O.M - Hepworth

Attendance - 1100

Job done for Rovers today against a gritty amateur outfit that were just a little short on fitness.

The victory has come at a cost though as Andy Kain who was very lively today may miss Thursday with a recurring groin injury.

The new lads impressed especially Jack Ormondroyd who is definitely going to be future star.

Thatto Heath's full back Shaun Quinn had a good game especially with some very innovative re-starts.

Andy Stott at half back showed touches of class from his Saints academy days but he is obviously carrying a bit of condition now.

I gave the mom to Steve Crossley for his driving runs, Greg was very close and was a worthy official mom also.

Tom Hodson was very effective at his old position of FB. Hopefully some of this form will be translated against league opposition on Thursday.

Steve Crossley , one of our best purchases for quite a while. A blend of Tony Tonks and Jimmy Carlton. I just love it.

Thought that we were poor in defence when dealing with those high kicks. Would have been in serious trouble against Champion league opposition.

Credit to Thatto. Never gave up or let their heads go down.
