WELCOME TO NRL Round 7
.

There is a one week gap between R6 and R7 due to the international fixture between Australia and New Zealand (Friday 19th April) and the Country v City game (Sunday 21st April)
The kick off to this round is  THURSDAY 25th April.

Everyone reading this is welcome to enter this weekly competition which runs throughout the season.
Whether you've taken part before or you fancy having a go this week for the first time you're guaranteed a warm welcome.
Entries are allowed each week up until the kick off of the first game in the round
NB Remember this round's first game is on THURSDAY 25th April !!!

ROUND 7 QUESTIONS:

*Poll Competition:
Round 6 produced some low scoring games. Let's look towards the opposite results this week:
Which R7 game will produce the biggest total of points when both teams final scores are added together?
- enter in the poll itself at the top and put your answer in your posting.
The poll is anonymous so we can't give you credit unless it is in your predictions post.

Now the main event of the week:

*Match tipping Competition:
Name the 8 (that's EIGHT) winning teams in NRL Round 7 2013

*Points Competition
How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in R7?
This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.

*HOME Win Competition:
How many HOME wins will there be in NRL R7?

In rounds where the game is on the road and played at a neutral venue, the team named first in the fixture will be regarded as the home team for the purposes of this competition.

Fixtures:

NRLR72013_zpsa06b85bc.jpg

Animated awards will be given for the winner(s) of each competition question.
Match tipping scores will be added together as the season progresses to produce a Tipsters' Ladder which is pinned to the top of the forum topic list page

The best of luck to everyone.
Enjoy your Rugby League! B)

Roosters v Dragons. Though St Jarge have had the wins over the last few years the Chooks should overcome them this time round

Storm v Warriors.  As long as Storm don't mentally relax they should win reasonably comfortably!

Sea Eagles v Rabbitohs. Can't see the Bunnies overcoming the Seagulls who will be looking to take them down a peg or two!

Cowboys v Raiders.  I think the Home side should shade this one

Tigers v Broncos. The Ponies may well find the Tiggers have found their teeth this time round so no here kitty kitty

Titans v Knights.  Can't see the Knights winning this joust!

Sharks v Bulldogs.  Sharks season to continue with more misery

Panthers v Eels although form suggests a home win I feel an upset on the cards!

Right it's off to watch the massive ANZAC Day battle between Storm and Warriors now.

Great game could have gone either way

A game of chances both ways. Too many handling errors and not enough completed sets for both sides. Coaches have plenty to go at this coming week.

Ryan Hoffman called it a dirty win - in that Storm weren't at their best but took the win. The final score might make it seem like it was a fairly comfortable win, not so!

It was only at the end that the Warriors leaked the important points.

Some great tries. There was a questionable pass in Chambers' second try.

The Warriors' beef nearly brought them the spoils. The bloke they planned so hard to stop this week finished them off though - Billy Whizz, under the sticks.

What a great crowd with huge amounts of purple and plenty of Warriors fans.

It'll be interesting to see what Bourbon Rat made of that both as a game and as a live event to be at on ANZAC Day.

They played for an impressive looking trophy.

Not the same sort of game as Storm/Warriors. This one has Roosters dominating.

Commentary team saying Roosters up there with the best this season.

Anzac Day - Storm v Warriors is ALWAYS a great day !! Though there are mumbles from the NRL about shuffling it betwixt 'other teams' ???????? Kind of dilutes the Australia / New Zealand thing right

My pet hate always in this game is the number of storm members that come as warriors fans,(but usually wear Storm colours underneath 'just in case'  ). If you couldn't see the field & heard the roar it was impossible to know who it was for

As for the game itself - lucky win - with Storm allowing the Warriors to take them away from their game plan, which bellyache seems to have 'pointed out' at the half.

The ratpack all thought we still haven't gelled yet ! And Cam Smith echoes that here

Got updates on the chooks / dragons during our U20's game - Was surprised by the result

Don't think Pricey is the answer to their problem.

Manly v Bunnies - Best I keep this short 'coz it was about 80 minutes of old style 'who can we hurt most' Manly tactics from the biff days.

And they wonder why people hate them

Great crowd and atmosphere at AAMI Park, Bourbon Rat.

Wearing two team shirts is rather odd. They must think they have a win-win situation.

It looks like there's a pretty big number of Kiwi ex-pats in Melbourne. Do many of them come to Storm games then, even when Warriors aren't playing there?

Thought Bunnies played really well against Manly. They had to take some stick, but ultimately their better play saw them through.

Our win over Souths in Sydney looks to have been even better now in retrospect.

We play Manly in R12 in Melbourne. Hope they turn up to plat the game not just rough stuff.
