St Helens & Hull KR coaches fined for criticising match officials

Hull Kingston Rovers coach Craig Sandercock has been handed a £250 suspended fine after the RFL found him guilty of improper conduct by publicly criticising match officials following a Super League fixture against Huddersfield Giants on Sunday April 14.

Sandercock was found to be in breach of RFL Operational Rule D1.8 © (prejudicial conduct), Operational Rule D1.10 (i) (public criticism of match officials) and the sport’s Respect Policy.

The £250 fine is suspended until the end of the 2014 season.

 

t Helens coach Nathan Brown has been fined £500 after the RFL found him guilty of improper conduct and publicly criticising a match official following a Super League fixture against Catalan Dragons on Friday April 12.

Brown was found to be in breach of RFL Operational Rule D1.8 © (prejudicial conduct), Operational Rule D1.10 (i) (public criticism of match officials) and the sport’s Respect Policy.

He was instructed to pay £250 immediately with a further £250 suspended until the end of the 2014 season.

St Helens player suspended for four games

 

St Helens winger Francis Meli has been suspended for four games after he appeared before the RFL Disciplinary Panel earlier this evening in relation to an offence committed during the Tetley’s Challenge Cup tie against Hull KR on Saturday April 20.

 

Meli was found guilty of committing a Grade E intentional high tackle offence on Craig Hall in the 33rd  minute of the game and was also fined £300 by the panel.

Catalan Dragons hooker Ian Henderson has avoided suspension after he appeared before the panel in relation to a Grade B reckless strike charge from the Tetley’s Challenge Cup tie against Hunslet Hawks on Sunday April 21.

 

The following players were also suspended after they submitted Early Guilty Pleas in relation to offences:

-       Jon Wilkin (St Helens) – two-match ban imposed for Grade C dangerous shoulder charge on Michael Dobson on Hull KR.

-       Ade Gardner (St Helens) – one-match ban imposed for Grade B dangerous shoulder charge on Kris Welham of Hull KR

Its time to step up and hit these whingeing coaches with heftier fines, not these paltry £250 stuff usually suspended

Should have been more. Sandercock should have been fined for having a whinging voice as well.
