Saint Billinge

The cladding of Langtree Park

13 posts in this topic

Work is now in progress in reinforcing the roof in preparation for cladding to be installed. Apart from creating a better atmosphere, there is also the safety problem of rain pouring in on the concourse. Certainly a welcome outcome from what was a thorny issue.

I remember the scorcher bit but not the thousands of ladybirds.  What I do remember is coming out in freckles.

As for the cladding: I'll believe it when I see it!

Cars were covered in ladybirds, with drivers having to scrape them off their windscreens. As for the roof, it does say in the St Helens Star that work has started.
