WELCOME TO NRL Round 11

.

The kick off to this round is on Friday 24th May

Everyone reading this is welcome to enter this weekly competition which runs throughout the season.

New entrants are especially welcome

Whether you've taken part before or you fancy having a go this week for the first time you're guaranteed a warm welcome.

Entries are allowed each week up until the kick off of the first game in the round

ROUND 11 QUESTIONS:

*Poll Competition:

There's been a few upsets in the last couple of weeks or so. So in this poll competition lets look for the biggest upset result of the round and I don't mean like Willie Mason arguing with Ben Barba! This will be based on the league positions as at end of Round 10 where a lower placed team beat a team above them  The more places below, in this week's ladder, they are than the beaten team, the bigger the upset!

Which Round 11 game will produce the biggest upset result?

- enter in the poll itself at the top and put your answer in your posting.

Now the main event of the week:

*Match tipping Competition:

Name the 8 (that's EIGHT) winning teams in NRL Round 11 2013

*Points Competition

How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in R11?

This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.

*Home Win Competition:

How many HOME wins will there be in NRL R11?

In rounds where the game is on the road and played at a neutral venue, the team named first in the fixture will be regarded as the home team for the purposes of this competition.

Fixtures:

Animated awards will be given for the winner(s) of each competition question.

Match tipping scores will be added together as the season progresses to produce a Tipsters' Ladder which is pinned to the top of the forum topic list page

The best of luck to everyone.

Enjoy your Rugby League! B)

We can expect one or two close calls again I reckon.

Then add in those unexpected big margin wins (maybe) and maybe we'll need that luck this weekend.

I hope I'm proved wrong tipping Roosters. I feel rotten tipping against Storm. :blackeye:

The Tigers Cowboys game has kicked off so our R11 comp is now in progress.

Video ref  on action says try to Cowboys after a big of an odd touch down following a charge down on a Marshall kick in play.

After Tigers and Warriors had been written off by all and sundry, how good to see both of them win this weekend against teams who had been doing well.

Well done to BR and Blotto for believing (or hoping) for a  Storm  and Tigers win against the general view. Likewise, respect to Kiwityke who was the only one of us to take the Warriors to win.

So in a comp where we were looking for upsets Tigers, Bulldogs, Storm and Warriors have already delivered.

Just Sharks v Rabbitohs to play in tomorrow's game. should be good.

Only Bourbon Rat has gone for a Sharks win. Who's to say it won't be another upset win on their own ground.

This weekend proves that nothing can be taken for granted.

One of the best 'no-tries' of the weekend:

Albert Kelly's kick over and re-gather before sprinting around Hayne to put the ball down - adjudged no try by video ref as he was said to have gained advantage by tipping the ball forward to himself when regathering it in mid air.

Now that was a harsh decision especially if such brilliant individualism is not rewarded in the game.

Shaun Johnson had a similar one last week against the Panthers.
