north America and Australia seem so boring while south America seems far more interesting with it's high biodiversity.

K, T, M, H, Z, X, and S. But to be honest, I'm more of a vowel man myself.

What criteria should be used to determine what makes a continent great or bad and for ranking the continents?;

My Suggestion:-

a) Pollution level of  in the continent(S)?

B) Quality of life for all life forms in the continent(s)?

c) Weather/climate?

Quote:- "Antarctica unspoilt by humans"

Mankind has damaged Antarctica with a hole in the ozone layer over Antarctica.

Outside of Wiltshire, nothing exists!

Over in Gloucesterhshire we thought there were dragons that way.

Over in Gloucestershire, you can't spell Gloucestershire.

And the dragons are in completely the opposite direction, on the proper bank of the Severn.

;)

I'm not sure I'm qualified. I've been to France, Italy and Spain quite a lot, I've also been to most places in Northern Europe, except Scandinavia.  And Europe is ok. I've been to Korea and China, I saw quite a lot of Korea and quite liked it - I hardly saw any of China, just hotels, restaurants and an exhibition centre in Shanghai. I've also been to the Asian part of Turkey and wasn't impressed.  I've been to North Africa - Tunisia and Morrocco - not keen, and I've been to a couple of Caribbean islands, (does this count as America?)  St Lucia - not that keen, and Cuba - I'd go again tomorrow.  Planning a visit to the US later this year.  The thing about Cuba of course is that there aren't many Yanks there, and the ones that are there claim to be Canadians.   But on the whole I prefer to be in Europe - I've felt at home in most places I've been. Having said that I never feel particularly comfortable in Liverpool- dunno why I just don't.

it's the "climate" stupid.

1) Europe- temperate climate (like the little bears porridge in most of areas of the continent it is not too hot or too cold except for northern Scandinavia and a bit of Russia)

2) South America- tropical (wet has lots of water need for most life forms to exists)

3) North America - every type of climate

4) Asia - pollution

6) Antarctica - too cold (few plants live here)

6) Australia - too dry (maily a dersert with low rainfall in parts)

7) Africa - too dry  (big parts of it are just desert not really suitable foe Life)

in 250 million years time all the continents will reform as one land mass call Pangaea Ultima. then some time the future this will break up and start the cycle all over again of continents together, then apart, then together and so on.
