What a horrible situation. The RFL should be on the case too.

I'd pay a peppercorn rent to another local club to train at there ground and find a good pub to go to after the game, take away the Leigh Easts revenue from the council and the venue will not be able to support itself, I'm sure that within 12 months they will see sense.

 

Do Leigh have a local Union club with a clubhouse?

Yes they do Jim, and don't forget Miners too - although I would have thought sharing would be a last resort and they hope to reach an amicable agreement and move on.....but I do think before die, they should opt for something on the lines you are talking

I am told, following a meeting, Leigh East have retained the control of the clubhouse and bar. The Council have accepted a compromise
