Repeal the laws of physics

31 posts in this topic

Following the problems we have with momentum, there are now two more ways to come a cropper due to those darned laws of physics.

1) a ball is passed down the line to the wing as the players run forward. The centre passes to his wing tight in the corner and he has to immediately brake and stop dead or his momentum will cause him to be an obstruction in the in goal area. Hence no try. (this happened in an NRL game this weekend)

2) This one needs a player to break the visibility law. in tonight's game the guy playing the ball on the try line was penalised for not disappearing into thin air. he has to become invisible because if he stands still or moves he is obstructing and allowing the dummy half an advantage. Hence the dummy half can no longer dive over at the play the all. That's another important facet of the game gone forever.

Peacock took a big step forward after playing the ball. No idea why none of the commentary team mentioned it. That was the reason for the penalty.

This breaks all laws of Leeds Rhinos. The big step is supposed to be BEFORE the play the ball. Two if you're Burrow.

Tbf two big steps for Burrow is equivalent to one for Peacock.

And in the case of that Leeds try the ref had utterly ignored the massive obstruction penalties in the lead up play, he couldn't ignore the third one as well

They mentioned it on the 3D coverage..

Which sort of reminded me, I didn't have to listen to the entire reason I stopped watching Super League on Sky last night, which made my experience far more enjoyable..

Can we repeal the laws of time travel?

I believe you started the Leeds bashing on this thread, therefore you are  responsible for it.

So, is the biggest surprise that The VR scratched off a try?

I'm sure similar tries will and have been given.
