New league structure attempt number....ive lost count.

There's a sense of clutching at straws here isn't there?

Both schemes seem over-complicated and resemble something that was tried years ago in Scottish football to no great effect. The SL clubs hold the whip hand given the voting structure so I fully expect them to decide upon cosmetic changes only or, at the most, a reduction of SL to 12 clubs (possibly including Toulouse).

The players have already voted to turn down the 2x12 then a split to 3x8 and they favour a straight 2x12 with 1 up, 1 down, sounds remarkably similar to what we had before Super League, oh well, thats just wasted 15 years then.

I agree with the players. 12 x 12 with promotion and relegation. Increased funds for the 2nd tier should be focused on to bridge the gap between full time and part time clubs.

Simple and straight forward. Easy to follow too.

Not that it's their decision, obviously.

No, it'll be down to the clubs themselves but dont underestimate player power, they have a massive influence now they have their own representative body
