Great game at east hull think both teams had a few missing good tussle though east won with a penalty kick at the end may be a draw fair result but reckon east just shaded it at the end thought ref was good too just let them get on with it talked to the players all game

Matty Brooke's was outstanding today so I recon he will have got mom. Scott (rollmop/parkin/quiffdefer) partis won't of beat behind him.

I thought Parkin had taken the wrong option by taking the ball away from the posts and a possible drop goal attempt but he got lucky and a Wath player picked up the ball in an offside position. It was literally the last kick of the game. Great try though Parkin.

After todays results it makes it really tight at the top. Any of the top 6 could be first if they win games in hand and results go their way. Who said summer rugby was boring?!!

Hunslet Warriors 24 - 16 Dewsbury Celtic.

Should keep the Warrior bashers at bay for another week!

Commiserations to Peterlee Pumas who lost to Fev Lions 18-30.

Good effort from Peterlee. A close game compared to what they've experienced this year. Hopefully will give them the impetus to kick on and keep improving.

Eccles 16 East Leeds 28. Only 2 penalties awarded (2 each) in 80 minutes. Chris Scanlan man of the match for Eccles and Nathan Conroy for East Leeds, but probably the best the performance on that pitch yesterday came from young Oldham Referee Ian Scott!

Good to hear someone praising the ref instead of slagging them off.

That's what it's all about Sandspine. After this season the Peterlee boys will have a better idea of where they need to be to compete at this level. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Quick word on group of kids who refused to pay to watch myton, as the game was moved to the university pitch and therefore argued that they shouldn't have to pay to watch, in fairness to them they was another group of lads on the field right behind them having a kick about with a football and they wasn't asked to pay. Thoughts??? And before you ask i did pay this week lol
