Colonial Cup (Merged threads)

Looks like all USRL players are now available for US Tomahawks selection, so the thaw in the US rugby league split seems to be getting even warmer, so that's good news.

Don't get too carried away just yet Jim. The only USARL player in the squad hasn't pulled a Boston 13s shirt on in anger this season. It will be a better measure for the eligibility of all players when the next two Colonial Cup squads are chosen in September as the two teams contesting the USARL Grand Final won't have been considered for tomorrow's match.

YouTube link isn't working for me but I caught the highlights of the 1st game in Toronto and can't help but smile at the size and passion of the crowd in Toronto. The game is coming on leaps and bounds in Canada and the commentary is entertaining "glory for Canada" and the guy on the tannoy "try for Canada baby!" LOL. Keep it comming. Love it!

Approximately 7,200.

RL in America needs Canada & some west coast USA clubs, Portland & Seattle & Vancouver Edmonton or Calgary would be a huge shot in the arm for both RL Nations, Area & International derbys would be  hugely attended as they are in the MLS.

Mick - They have a big competition in British Colombia in Canada which has teams from Vancouver in it: https://www.facebook.com/britishcolumbiarugbyleague?fref=ts

A player from here in New England recently moved back to Seattle upon finishing college and is trying to get things started there: https://www.facebook.com/SeattleRLFC?fref=ts

There are also a group of guys trying to get things going in Oregon but I don't know too much about them: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rose-City-Rugby-League/149354731774654?fref=ts

So after an initial Canada win the Americans win the CC comfortably 3-1
