Swinton player banned for two matches

Swinton Lions player Ian Watson has been suspended for two matches after a RFL Disciplinary Tribunal found him guilty of intentionally standing on the leg of an opponent in a Kingstone Press Championship fixture against Sheffield Eagles on July 5. Watson, who pleaded not guilty to the Grade B offence, was also fined £50.

I can't remember Ian Watson being in trouble before. I presume there was some video evidence or I would have thought he'd have got a one match ban for the charge of standing, not stamping, on a player ... not that I know anything about the tariffs.

Would never have happened before the DR system came in.

If P&R existed he would maybe have been playing in a different league, against a different team, and a different player. He possibly, maybe would not have done what he did do.
