Leeds Rhinos have been given a major boost ahead of this Friday’s Super League clash at Wakefield with the news that captain Kevin Sinfield is set to return from injury along with prop Kylie Leuluai.
The Rhinos injury concerns have not abated however and England centre Kallum Watkins has been ruled out with an ankle injury which will allow 19-year-old James Duckworth to come in for his debut after impressing in the club’s Under 19 side this season. A tall rangy winger, he joined the Rhinos in 2009 from local amateur club Whinmoor Warriors and played for England Academy in 2011.
Sinfield has missed the last five games with a thumb injury since suffering a fracture in England’s win over the Exiles in mid-June. It will the 499th appearance of Sinfield’s career having previously made 455 appearances for Leeds since his debut in 1997, 14 for Great Britain, 22 for England, 4 for Lancashire, one non-Test appearance for Great Britain and three appearances for England against the Exiles.

Poor old Wakey.  They almost beat Leeds on a regular basis now but just can't make it over the finish line.  That must be so frustrating for players and fans alike!

Very good game to watch and a superb atmosphere in the ground.

Leeds just couldn't find a way through Wakefield in the first quarter and it was one of thse loose passes that go to ground that often unlocks a defence that finally got the Rhinos on the scoreboard. BJB took a sloppy kick from Tim Smith and raced 95metres to score another try completely against the run of play.

Credit Leeds they found a way to win a game that for the most part they were 2nd best in while Trinity need to learn how to capitalise on their opportunities.

This Wakefield team needs some minor tinkering and could go on to be a real force in SL.

Shame Jimmy Saville's croaked it, he'd have been the perfect coach for them.

Surprisingly my first visit to Belle Vue and loved every minute of it. For most of the game Wakey had the best in forward and we were lucky to win

Brilliant game, good weather, great fans and atmosphere and a proper old fashioned ground on top of the action.

Wakefield's improvement in crowds is really very impressive.
