York away. If we lose to a Gary Thornton-coached team and his A4 scrawled gameplan imploring his players to tackle the opposition and pass the ball before they get tackled, then the end truly is nigh.

Nope. The Rams will have strengthened whereas Batley will have to watch the little money they have.

Hard cheese Eddie, if you read the local press you'll be aware that we already have 90% of our squad for next season signed up. Given some of the names that are floating around with some repetition, there'll be a number of new faces who will considerably improve the team. As I've mentioned before, we have an excellent Squadbuilder fund that's barely been touched for two-three years. Its run by the people who helped your club set a similar scheme up, more than a DECADE after we formed ours.

Depends who comes and who goes.

Wont be this season anyway - staggers me to hear people saying 'we'll turn it round' and 'its a confidence thing' - being a realist what im witnessing on the field tells me they are living in cloud cuckoo lamd!

Provocative Chairman but meaningless, as you well know. Boxing Day form has proven to be no guide whatsoever to fortunes in the following season.

I would have said that you'll get a couple more wins yet this year, but after Sunday I'm not so sure.
