Barrow v Halifax - KIDS GO FREE

Recommended Posts

From Pete Murphy, Commercial Manager Barrow Raiders.

After the success of the last KIDS GO FREE game against Hunslet, that extra support getting the Raiders a much needed win. We are happy to announce that all U16 accompanied by a paying adult will be admitted free.

“It was fabulous to see so many Junior and even Infant Raiders at the game against Hunslet. The sun shone, the kids cheered and the Raiders won. A great day!” said Pete

“We understand in the current financial climate that its hard to be able to afford to take the whole family to sporting games like this, so as a club Barrow Raiders are trying to help out with that. A mam or dad that pay in can bring all their kids with them. Or if you’re already a season ticket holder then you can bring your kids along with you free.”

“My vision for next season is to, along with our coaching and training team here at the Raiders, to get into the schools, to promote rugby league and let all the kids know what an exciting sport our game is. It’s a well-used clique but these kids are the future of our game. We’re gonna make the Junior season ticket next year so affordable that you’d be mad not to get one. Lets not forget that all junior season ticket holders get into home AND away games.”

Halifax are a top of the table side and it will take a great performance from our boys and hearty support from the crowd to compete with them.

There will be an ice cream van at the game to help you cool in the hot weather and we're having a bouncy castle after the game for the kids to play on.
Music after the game will be provided by the excellent Collie Stewart
and Harriet & Joe Garnett.

Free sausage and chips butties after the game!!!!

Its a great event for all the family!

Some great ideas finally coming in. Kids are our future crowd so make it entertaining for them now and they will be there in the future. With regards to going in to schools this is the best way to encourage supporters. Take in a player and willie two hornes, provide a bit of coaching and give out some free tickets. Pester power will prevail and the kids that don't usually go to games will drive their parents crazy and get them to take them to a game. Hey presto new supporters. Even getting the local amateur side involved would be a good idea. They can then benefit from getting more kids involved in their team and perhaps create future barrow players as well as supporters. It's got to be all about the bright blue n white future!
