French Players who have been part of the English Game

79 posts in this topic

I was wondering how many have played within the English game and what sort of team over the years we could/could have put together?

I'll start with my clubs three (unless I've missed some) entrants:

David Fraisse

Olivier Elima

Julian Rinaldi

He was at Hull before he went to Fev. Late eighties if I remember correctly.

Maxime Greseque was an excellent player for Fev. I'm really surprised he never went on to play SL football, he would certainly have been good enough.

Never realised he was 32 now.

I remember someone saying about Greseque that he preferred to be the big fish in the small pond than the small fish in the ocean, which may explain why he never really reached full potential.

IIRC he played a couple of times for Wakefield during the French off-season around 2007.

A wasted talent, the blue between his old man and Guash meant he never had chance to play for home sl team.
