R L Winger

It finally might happen at last Kangaroos Vs Wallabies

There would be no tackle count, but a shot clock would require teams to leave their own half within 60 seconds. There would be play the balls for teams in possession in their own half and then ruck and maul when they cross into enemy territory.

Sounds like a right mess - RL in one half of the field, RU in the other. Never quite see what the fascination is with wanting to see players from 2 different sports play hybrid matches. It's not as if RL is like AFL or GAA where they have to invent a hybrid game to give it some kind of international dimension. If the Wallabies want a shot at playing RL, let em join an NRL club.

Novelty value, publicity, money generated but the idea of the game as described in the quote itself is potty.

If they must play let them play two games ( 1 RL, 1 RU rules) or play the first half under RL rules and second half under RU rules.

All boils down to money, I guess. Maybe if they played a game for charity, but otherwise its pretty pointless.

I think a tran's tasman club 7's comp between the NZ and Aussie's S15 and NRL be better.

I have alway's thought it was wrong that the best team from New Zealand (All Black's) never faced the best team from Australia (Kangaroo's).
