It was 528 years ago today that the battle of Bosworth was fought. Lancastrian Henry Tudor defeated the Yorkist king Richard III.

It was 528 years ago today that the battle of Bosworth was fought. Lancastrian Henry Tudor defeated the Yorkist king Richard III.

 

My sister-in-law went to a re-enacement over the weekend held near to the battle site.

Local legend with some supporting evidence, puts the battle nearer to Daddlington and Stoke Golding.

It was said that the battle was watched from the church spire in Stoke Golding.
