It could be good for Welsh rugby either way. Scorpions have had a hard time of late and some bragging rights would do them some good.

Crusaders 12-10 up now. Sounds like a cracking game. It's a shame they will probably be in different divisions next season.

Congrats to Cru on winning 35-22. Looks like it was a very close game. Can see some big crowds at the Racecourse next year.

Real shame the Scorps couldn't get a bonus point.  That drop goal from the Cru was mean!  Still, they are still a new team and hopefully they will be able to build on things next year (maybe use dual reg players less often to give some stability?).

Great that the Cru are now promoted.  The Championship should be an interesting league next season, especially with P&R being reintroduced into SL!

Nothing against Hemel, but I'm so glad Gateshead finished their season with a win, and for once not at the bottom of the league!  Great way to send off their coach.

Such a shame the Skolars couldn't win as it would have been a real boost for them to have had a home game in the play offs.  I think it was two quick tries from Oxford just before halftime that did the damage, if memory serves (but I was following so many scores that I may have gotten mixed up!).

All Golds took a hammering, which was a shame given that they have picked up a couple of wins in their debut season.

By the way, if anyone in Wales is interested, the BBC's text service on their news channel has a very good service for scores in all three leagues.  They were updating as quickly as I was seeing the scores on Twitter today.  Sky don't even bother recording Championship 1 scores anymore.

Conversely, we're delighted that Oxford did us a favour....

The All Golds looked way out of their depth yesterday.

Hope you didn't have the house on it...

You may have seen a glimpse there as to why I never place bets :)

Very enjoyalble afternoon at Oxford. Seems a good set up down there.

After a bright start a combination of Oxford lifting there game and Skolars

losing there way before lifting themselves once more led to a very entertaining game.

Not sure why we didnt line up the drop goal with a minute or so to go, before Oxford

missed at our end,but it would have been harsh on the homesters if they had lost.

A good time had by all at the Racecourse yesterday (well, apart from the sending off, where the ref had no choice). Talking to a club official on the pitch after the game and they seem very enthusiastic about the proposed new structure and they also know what needs to be done about the team in order to succeed next season, so all appears to be well. Incidentally, does the absence of the usual Crusaders' suspects on this thread indicate a slight,um, tightness across the foreheads this morning?

Very sore head this morning!  Thanks for your concern.

Scorps mad a great game of it and kept us on the edge of our seats for longer than we were expecting.  Congratulations to all involved with the club - the backroom staff, the directors, the volunteers, the bondholders, the players and the best supporters in Championship 1.

The All Golds looked way out of their depth yesterday.

Agreed we did! We did have 5 regular players out injured, but no excuses. Beaten by a better team, and even with a full team, out result would have been a home win.

It has been a long hard learning curve of a season, but I believe that the management team have a good "business plan" to ensure stability in the long term.  Whatever players are retained for next year, can only improve from learning from this years experience.  Most of them are only just out of, or still in, uni.

We do not have many fans at the moment either, only a few of us are not family of players, or uni students, but we have had a presence, however small, at all away games this year.

Roll on next season, and good luck to all in the play offs.

Looks like UGAG will have links with the WRL and develop the Anglo-Welsh relationship in South Wales/ Gloustershire/ Bristol area.  Could be a great development for the All Golds. Best of luck for next season.

That is good news. The stronger the foundations the better. It seems to me from an outsider looking inwards that there is some cracking work being undertaken by teams outside traditional areas; a model for traditional areas to look into and develop?

As for the UGAG, get selling some tickets for Cardiff and the opener! :D

Given our links with Bristol, the USA v Cook Islands is the one being pushed.
