bearing in mind weve beaten them twice convincingly, and gifted them a win with three interceptions even though that day they defended gallantly, we weren't at anywhere near where we are now, im gonna stick my neck out and go for a 36v6 win for the mighty rovers. attendance 3600.

First half excellent, second half not sure if it was Rovers who dropped off or Leigh improved, either way when they got back to within 8 we found a way to grind out a deseved win, next week Leigh home to Batley and Sheffield home to Dewsbury still hell of a lot to play for...Up the Rovers.

We gave them two tries, and an appalling refereeing decision set up another.

All over them in the first half. Played some lovely footy. Second half, Leigh came out and made a fist of it. They ran some great angles which tore holes in our defence. Ref missed some nasty play on his blind side which should have been picked up by the touch judge, ie; point of elbow in Worthingtons face in the tackle plus other over the top facials. Couple of strange decisions, the reasons which he failed to indicate to the speccies. Leighs kicking game appeared to create havoc amongst our defence in the second half..

Turned out to be a scruffy win, but non the less another victory.

...... Leighs kicking game appeared to create havoc amongst our defence in the second half..

IMHO  that was because one of our wingmen didn't seem to realise that it should be the fullback's responsibility to catch the ball and his to cover the possibility of it being dropped!

After the game Sean said he thought the way Rovers eased off in the second half, then picked themselves up again, will stand them in good stead for the semi and/or final, a bit like the away match at Keighley, when they came back at us in the 2nd half also. We are now less likely to do the same again!

You'll be playing Batley in 2 weeks time.....we are playing like a championship one side at the moment. 4 defeats in last 5 games, slowest backs in the entire division.

Competed against Sheffield, competed against Fev.....What more can you ask?

Exactly. We are so bad we finished 4th in the league and in all honestly if we had got within one score in that second half who knows ?

Our season is not over yet. We have 3 games left.
