Exactly. We are so bad we finished 4th in the league and in all honestly if we had got within one score in that second half who knows ?

Nah.... I'm fancying batley to beat leigh this weekend frank and maintain leigh's end of season play ogf form of recent yrs

Our season is not over yet. We have 3 games left.:sleep:

After the game Sean said he thought the way Rovers eased off in the second half, then picked themselves up again, will stand them in good stead for the semi and/or final, a bit like the away match at Keighley, when they came back at us in the 2nd half also. We are now less likely to do the same again!

Steve, this easing off during a game has become an unfortunate trait over the past couple of seasons. We are not ruthless enough IMO. When you have someone on the ropes, you move in and finish the job. Makes it a lot easier for yourself. In such games, our line speed appears to drop off, our chase for the kicks appears sluggish and we develop a flat attacking line. As silly as it may appear, maybe we have a psychological problem.

I think it's one that Sean has identified, Bob. After the Keighley game he admired the way they raised their game after the Cougars came back at them, and he said he was delighted after the Leigh win, feeling that the experience would stand them in good stead for the next game, and hopefully the final. It was a problem that Daryl couldn't fix, excellent coach though he was, but in Sean I feel we have the man for every eventuality.
