Got to say the release of the names yesterday was handled very badly, but it sounds

like Gav isn't well so get well soon Gav, but surely we could have had it anounced on

the club website then a link on here.

Anyway, moving on, have a look at a website called 'Pulsefit' I think, Iain Morrisons

business by the sound of it, so if he's got over his injuries, he could be very fit.

Ben Dent & Greg Minikin seem to me to be in the starting 13 going by how they

finished this season, Haynsey clear of injury & confidence back will be class,

Freer at his best will be a star in CH1, could say start with him & Aldous & Morrison

off the bench could be very useful.

I need a few more clues from our Hunslet friends on any other signing

I'd be very disappointed if we end up signing players who played very averagely for us in 2009 then left for Hunslet. We've got to move on from that, however popular the players or their dads were with some fans.

I'd much rather us play up and coming young local lads like Greg Minikin & Sam Orange than Dave Clayton and John Oakes (who's just resigned at Hunslet).

Cmon Simon John is a good championship standard player and im sure would have done a good job for you and why would his dad have any baring on the matter

I don't doubt he is but I'd rather us play local young lads who really want to be at York, otherwise we're never going to get anywhere.

Agree with Suzzy & agree with Simon - its all about opinions, but personally rate Oakesy &

I also rated Clayton when he was with us, think he would do us a good job at centre.

York have thrown money about every year. Every year its minimum playoffs but reality is it ends up being bottom 2

You're not wrong there, although I'll be giving up if its bottom 2 next season  ;)

One problem for us is we have to offer more money than West Yorkshire based clubs due to the extra travelling involved. Can fully understand Leeds based players signing for Hunslet for less money than we're offering, travelling an extra 10hrs + a week after work isn't worth it for players with families. I wouldn't go work in Leeds for an extra £100 a week.

Can only assume Pete Martini must be on holiday, still nothing in the Press giving any

details/background to the Iain Morrison signing etc

I hope we resign Tommy Haughey and Waine Pryce - their work rate for York was phenomenal.

And if we could get Tom Bush back, that would be great - his defence is second to none and his ball handling skills are legendary.

*shoots everyone else*
