Leigh 12-20 Batley.

I hope Dewsbury do Sheffield but even if they don't I'm confident we can beat them. Now is a good time as any!

Defences will be on top,no doubt. Ours wasn't great on Sunday but we've been second best throughout the league and I'msure JK will have us back to normal this week. If we continue to shine in attack as we have for the last month I think we have more flair throughout the team, as Leigh tend to rely on their 6 and 7 whereas we have more individual flair and with Davies back on song the whole squad lights up when he gets the ball. Close thing, and go for something similar scorewise to our win there last season.

Although I think we were defensively poor on Sunday, it was probably more to do with the structure of the game other than anything more deep-seated. We were on the front foot so much, there was very little concerted defence, and I think we just switched off a bit. When we played Leigh recently, the intensity of the game focused our defence and we were rock-solid. Same on Sunday, I reckon. If Fleming and/or Mullally are available for selection, that'll be enough to tip things in our balance, IMO.

Im not going to make a prediction as its too close to call, but will be going expecting a defeat, that way I wont be dissapointed either way!

I'm with Buford, going expecting to fall short again. I've been the last 3 times, (2 NRC and league) and never seen us in contention!

Cue those who went to the semi in 2010 putting me straight......

Despite having my doubts, I am busy working the permutations that give us another crack at Halifax, so come on the Dogs, make me look like a pessimistic cynic!!

It would be fantastic to have a bulldog v rams final, not just for the fans and players, but for the whole community.

Any whispers as to Applegarth's fitness for this game or are we saving him for the final?

If Huddersfield beat Wigan tonight I am assuming Mullally, Fairbank and Johnson will be available along with Fleming from Castleford. John Kear should have a strong squad to pick from. Batley are good enough to win at Leigh. The result will depend on if we match Leigh in the pack , shutdown the halfbacks and try to move the ball whilst allowing for the conditions.

I think the man to fear is Ridyard, he has a fantastic kicking game... A top stand off IMO. I just hope he's quiet.. If he is we deffo win I reckon. ... ;-)
