So as regards this week's fixtures: winners of Rab v Sto and Roos v Eag go through to the semi final proper while the losers of these get to play again at home next week - courtesy of finishing in the top 4.

Sha v Cow and Dogs v Kni see the losers eliminated and the winners play the two losing teams from the top 4 next week.

You can your predictions in our Finals Week 1 tipping competition.

Couple of hours to kick off in the big game of the weekend for me. (Fri)

I'm hoping Storm's big game experience will shade it.

I'm also looking forward to Saturday's hit up between high flying Roosters and a talented and finals savvy Sea Eagles side.

Good attendance at the Bunnies v Storm game albeit 95% Souths fans. But still the size of that stadium was beyond need. Surely there's a more appropriate sized stadium. It's only suitable for a Grand Final or the like.

I see Bulldogs v Knights game is being played there on Sunday too.

The media seem to be dubbing the Storm performance as sloppy.

Melbourne winger Sisa Waqa was rushed to hospital but appears to have avoided serious injury after an ugly fall in Friday night's qualifying final loss to South Sydney.

Waqa landed on his head after being tipped from a considerable height by Dylan Farrell as he attempted to collect a bomb.

Storm medical officials used the medicab to transport him off the ground.

Farrell was placed on report for putting Waqa in a dangerous position but the incident appeared more bad luck than malicious as Waqa's legs were taken from under him.

What a horrible position for anyone to find themselves in when hitting the ground.

Hopefully most of the actions taken afterwards were precautionary.

It does seem that at the least he could have some disc damage.

What a game Sharks v Cowboys turned out to be.

The result is steeped in controversy with that Ryan 7th tackle try and then the farce over the time remaining at the end.

Sharks will thank their captain Paul Gallen for noticing and seeing something was done about it.

4-0 is an unexpected final score in the modern game.

It happened today when defence beat attack in the Rooster v Manly game.

Even my 2 year old daughter enjoyed the Sharks v Cowboys game. She wanted the Cowboys to win because, and I quote, "I don't like Sharkies." She was also screaming at that final play at the end but she was probably just copying me. She now would rather watch rugby than Winnie the Pooh, much to the dismay of my girlfriend. Oh well :D

Just some info -

Melbourne winger Waqa will surprisingly be available for the Storm's NRL elimination final against Newcastle after being cleared of a serious neck injury.

Apparently at training today Sisa claimed 'only the top of his head hurts, not his back'

I think S.W.A.S may get some more members :drag:
