What are the three categories BR?

Who sets the prices? Is it the club, the NRL or who?

Good Questions !!

The NRL has total control of the finals, but are saying the prices are 'stadium based' ?

The three categories ? will remain a mystery until 10AM Monday,(That's when tickets go on sale to members)

Until then there is NO seating plan available :rtfm: And no access to Wk 2 on the Ticketek site.

Last year there was a Cat 4 which was GA,so does this mean this time it will be ALL allocated seating ?

My kid brother will be in the Q as soon as he finishes work,(night shift)

There's articles in this week's Big Weekly (NRL Magazine Finals Week 2) that say going to NRL games and finals seems to have become too expensive and is putting off some people from attending.

There are mentions of the problem more than once in the mag.

Ideas floated by Tony Webek include:

Children under 15 free with paying adult

Half price finals tickets (not GF) for season ticket holders.

Michael Hagan in another article says that the NRL needs to review a number of issues at the end of the season including the increase in price of attending finals matches and the Grand Final this season.

He says crowds in Syney last weekend were a poor advert for the game and that loyal members of clubs should be better treated with pricing incentives to follow their team in the play offs.

OOPS ! - Battle of beaches hits a sand trap

And if you'll just allow me to put the boot in here

A fellow Storm member who also follows the Richmond AFL team

pointed out that the Richmond / Carlton game last week had a crowd 95,560 :hunter:

They say clubs want games to be played in major venues?

Fair enough, but if the major venues hold  45,000 (Allianz Stadium, Sydney) or more people and the crowd is say 20,000  - I can't find an attendance figure for today's game between Manly and Cronulla - then it looks at least half empty and loses out visually and for atmosphere.

It would of sold out Brookvale and Shark Park.

If the NRL want big crowds in Allianz and ANZ then they need to have 4-6 Sydney teams and all playing out of those stadiums, on the flip side I think Sydney could still have 8-10 NRL teams but there home grounds shouldn't be bigger then 10000-15000.
