Gutted . Very very sad news . An absolute legend of a man who we probably wouldn't have a club without Ronnie and the things he did

Thoughts are with Nellie and his family .

RIP Ronnie an absolute one off , gone but never forgotten . Legend

RIP RON.. a true Batley RL legend who certainly kept this club going through his work starting in the supporters club through to been on the board and at one time remorgaging his house to keep the club afloat... A true legend who will be sorely missed by all the Batley RL family... glad i had the pleasure of knowing this great man, someone who wasn't just well respected by batley RL but all the RL community.

Condolences to Nellie and family

Very nice chap and very sad news. I cannot imagine not seeing him around at the Mount. If there had been no Ronnie would there be a Batley RLFC for us to enjoy? My condolences to his family.

Buying tickets up at the mount will never be the same again. Another gallant youth lost upstairs.

Thanks ron for preserving the towns club for us to support.

Rest in peace you deserve it

Very, very sad news.  He has been Mr Batley for so long it seems incomprehensible that he is no longer with us . RIP, condolences to his family and close friends.

RIP Ronnie. The word legend these days is used too flippantly. In Ronnies case it is absolutely correct. How many times have we all said ''oh go and see Ronnie, he'll sort it''. As has been said he did things for the club that have kept Batley afloat, and I'm sure many unseen things. Just so glad he was around to enjoy the recent successess, of which he WAS so proud.

We have lost a true GALLANT YOUTH.

All our thoughts are with Nellie and his family, who I know will keep his memory going, and provide inspiration for this great club of ours.

Goodbye Rocket Ronnie.

The Bottomley Family.
