No surprise though . We must admit it would be some game and gamble to throw him in here , regardless of the regard we hold him . Physically this is gonna be on another planet , immensely tough and demanding , especially for a slight fella in the guts of the game , and it's an occasion for experience and containment for Scotland you'd reckon , with the Hendersons defensive machines . His omission is pretty good for us as a club to be honest , there's some blokes who've been bashed up by the Pacific boys !!!

Not surprised after seeing him int world cup, would be tempted to say thank you and goodnight to hodgson and get someone else in on half the wage to be russell's back up

Hodgson was released . Looks from the squad numbers that they're just gonna use Ratchford and Riley as back up if necessary

Just want to say a big well done to Scotland, played with pride and passion, great team bond (not like England!), excellently coached by Steve Mc.

Really enjoyed the games, will now concentrate on England's games now.

Special mention to the Town boys, the experience will have done you all the world of good. were all proud of you .Well done.

Scotland really had a dig under the most intense physical pressure most of them will have face so far in their RL careers. Ian Henderson was immense

Thought Brett was a little out of his depth tonight, he missed a number of tackles, by grabbing rather than really getting the shoulder in. However, he will be a better player for his experiences, so Town's gain.

Oh for Brough and Widdop as England half backs......

Brough was brilliant but something else England have missed out on cause of the useless coach

They're a brutal unit , but they also have the ability to be patchy , which gives us hope .

what you mean a mid tabled team player in the championship was found aaganst the champions of the world? What did you expect? Brett gave everything for scotland.

Ditto as did Brett carter but those 2 and Callum will both be available for the next one so although they didn't play as much as they'd have liked I'm sure they will next time around.
