Neil Budworth   Moranbah Miners

Ross Divorty       Halifax

Gil Dudson          Wigan Warriors

Jacob Emmitt     Salford Red Devils

Ben Evans           Bradford Bulls

Rhys Evans          Warrington Wolves

Ben Flower         Wigan Warriors

Tyson Frizell       St George Illawarra Dragons

Jordan James     Salford Red Devils

Elliot Kear            Bradford Bulls

Craig Kopzcak    Huddersfield Giants

Rhodri Lloyd       Wigan Warriors

Peter Lupton     Workington Town

Larne Patrick      Huddersfield Giants

Matt Seamark   Wynnum Manly Seagulls

Anthony Walker               St Helens

Ian Webster       Central Queensland Capras

Lloyd White        Widnes Vikings

Rhys Williams     Warrington Wolves

Iestyn has taken a big risk by leaving out Massam and Roetsy, two outside backs. With only 7 backs in this squad, 3 are halves, 1 is a former second row adapting to the centres.

Team I'd go with?

1. Rhys Evans

2. Rhys Williams

3. Rhodri Lloyd

4. (Nobody really fits in here)

5. Elliot Kear

6. Ian Webster

7. Matt Seamark

8. Jordan James

9. Lloyd White

10. Craig Kopczak

11. Tyson Frizell

12. Larne Patrick

13. Ben Flower

14. Neil Budworth

15. Anthony Walker

I'd be amazed if Ben Evans isn't in the 17 mate?

Much as I admire North Wales Crusaders and what they have achieved, Christian Roets and Rob Massam have been playing in the Championship 1.

Too big a step up for Saturday. They may well feature in the next rounds.

Gee, I obviously knew Mini is the Italian captain but it was still a bit of a shock (a very pleasant one) to see him there in blue. Very exciting to see a player of his calibre.

Can't lie though, I'm most excited to watch my boy, Paul Vaughn.

EDIT: Great passion for the anthem here by Wales.

Some people may criticise (no seriously, they might) but how often are we going to see Wales playing in front of a crowd like this?

This is a better game than the Eng-Aus match already.

Guerra double. Italy up 10-6, kick to come.

With that. I'm going to sleep, have stayed up far too late. Just had to watch a bit of this game.

In what way?

Decent game and plenty of people have stayed. Just the usual prob with double headers, too many neutrals, too much beer drunk, dimwits Mexican wave. - still the welsh boys seemed to find being at the millennium to be special so on balance the right decision

18-16 to Italy. Frizzel is a machine.

Technically when the Italian players hand brushes the ground with a welsh player on him is that not tackle complete.
