Wath Brow fergie time

18 posts in this topic

Heard a rumour a few times now that brow had mr Laing reffing them last week against an obviously weekend miners side and did everything in his power to get brow as many points as he could other than putting the ball over the line!!! I believe he was marching miners back 15 meters, giving penalties willy nilly and even started sending miners players off, I heard that on 79th minute brow needed 3 try's to make up the points difference that Thatto had on them, and brow scored their 3rd try 15 minutes into injury time with the kick meaning they finish top one point ahead of Thatto. The lad missed the kick resulting in Thatto winning the league on +1 points difference. These are just rumours from a very reliable source, but anyone shed any light on these rumours?

Sounds like the ref for the England v Australia game also plays fergie time same as wath brow hornets as the kick off began at 14.30hrs and the whistle for the end of the first half came at 15.20hrs. So that is an additional 10 minutes to the 40minutes and this was with no injuries or anyone being sin binned \sent off or wasting time , all of which happened at the brow miners game. Oh no this is how we should be playing the game and taking time off for taking kicks, after you score etc. This thread is becoming boring as all everyone wants to do is slag wath brow hornets off , but then again if you are talking about use you are leaving another team alone and you must be worried about us !!!!!

Hornets Nest - sorry but the half time break is more for TV. Mark Laing been hauled before the NCL for his actions last week after not giving suitable evidence in his match report. Answerable to adding time and abusive language on and off field. Sorry Cumbria teams but its the last you will see of him in the NCL. Check the timings on the Miners matchcast.

It's no secrete reference the Cumbria refs, I don't like having a pop at the referees cause it's a difficult job but their is a lot of history how bias some ( probably not all) the refs up their can be, going back a while but I think it was 4 or 5 tries the team I was playing for at the time got disallowed against a team we played up their (not

Brow) we almost didn't go back out in the second half and even the home team supporter were embarrased for the ref after they finished laughing at his decisions he was making,

Also forgot the additional time for Video refereeing decisions - don't think they exist at Wath Brow?

Mark Laing played 48 mins in the second half of Millom vs East Leeds and East Leeds scored in the last play to win the match and division one. How does that fit in with all the conspiracy theories?

is it fair to name a referee in this manner? I know at Halifax RLRS meetings there's a rule not to mention the names of clubs or players, so why do it to refs?
