Last night at LSV

1 post in this topic

As an aside to our problems - it was good to see a few familiar Swinton faces amongst the ten thousand plus crowd at Leigh for the Tonga v Cook Islands World Cup match last night.

A great atmospnere was created and the teams served up excellent thrills and spills entertainment in a very tough, skillful, close fought encounter.  I'd hoped for a Cook Island win in remembrance of Dana Wilson but Tonga just deserved to edge the game. Both teams gave it everything they had.

It was great to see all the players spending lots of time with the crowds, shaking hands and posing for photos as they did their lap of honour.  Well done to all involved it was a really good night.
