Right I'll have a guess:

1. Workington away

2. Rochdale home

3. Halifax away

Wouldn't't surprise me if we get Sheffield away 1st game on what they call a pitch what a joke!!

I've seen worse, much worse in fact.

At least we don't get Toulouse (A) this year.

wont happen.all the fuss they had about the new widnes plastic pitch.

this would be like playing in a quarry on sharp gravel and would need plenty of st johns staff on duty. not to mention the view or lack of it at owlerton.

I would imagine they'll be laying a pitch at Owlerton.....

Silverback, do you really believe that they'll be playing on what is currently in situ?

Them three first would see you at either the bottom or top of the league!

As we started last season with a home fixture (Featherstone) I reckon season 2014 will begin by travelling to:

Halifax, then

Leigh (H)

Rochdale (A)

Perhaps it could be London Broncos, now in administration?

Monday will soon be here.

sorry for late reply, couldent get on forum, anyways am not too sure if they are intending putting a new pitch in at owlerton at some point,i know its the first time in  15/20 years or so the centre green pitch area as not resembled a scrap yard with all the old tractors and plant grading tackle ect. but even thou its been cleaned up and the grass cut its had years of 20/30 car races ploughing up the pitch, been cooled down on the pitch after each race, tons of red shale been washed off by the rain as they drive over the pitch with up to 9/15 races each meeting depending on how many formulas are on.its had caravan races with all the carnage on the center afterwards, banger racing and car crushing, so to be fair they must be laying a new pitch otherwise players aint going to be able to play without some terrible cuts, plus its got 20 foot by about 60 foot missing both sides for cars to run off onto if there in trouble.they would be better playing outside on the tarmac as it is now, anyone remeber the big timbers they had round odsal when stockcars were on to keep cars off the pitch and they still ended up digging it up.not as bad as it were tarmac most of its life not shale. i know steve who promotes the stock cars and he as done a lot of work at owlerton but as its only rented so hes limited to what he can really do, but word is at our last race meeting couple a weeks back sheffield council are redoing all the pits area for coachs parking and fans, all new seating area along the back and the massive advertising boards been moved 20 foot back to get more high for the fans/speccies. and the big bar on turn 3 reopening too as that had seating for plenty and a great view too.all new floodlights but the ones we have now are ok to be fair.all sounds good for everybody but with all the cutbacks i doubt it will all takeplace. i hope they do get owlerton sorted and sheffield get a nice home to build the fanbase up.lets face it they can sure play rugby. ;)
