On Report

4 posts in this topic

Just wondered if anyone had seen the France v Samoa game and the  alleged deliberate targetting of France's playmakers by the Samoan forwards ?

In a game that Samoa won with 13 players on the pitch ( apart from one ten minute sinbinning - which should have been a red card ), how different might it have been if an inept set of officials had not hidden behind the 'on report' facility.

There were three, possibly four, red card offences and William Barthau must be made of india rubber - he was lucky he wasnt maimed for life.

It was back to the very worst days of RL when brutality won the day over flair and invention.....

Should referee Henry Peranara ever be close to a top grade game of RL, on that display ?

never been able to understand the "on report" rule. how you can award a penalty for something "unseen" is beyond me. if only refs had balls so they could make a decision

The problem is Deano that in many cases, it penalises the non-offending side, as they should then be playing against 12 men ( or less, in Samoa's case ), if the officials had the balls to call it properly..
