Here's just some of the photographs I took of the Rugby League World Cup Final 2013

What a great day out it was.

If you took any photos please feel free to post them here.

Here's the opening ceremony. We arrived in our places just five minutes before the start.

The place was packed on a fine afternoon in Manchester.

Good job there was a good zoom on my camera.

Not a seat to spare!

The Kiwis haka - perhaps their best moment of the afternoon as it turned out.

I took plenty of photos so have just selected a few to share.

The forum restricts the number of images in any one post so here's the second posting:

I managed to capture the champagne moment after Cameron Smith had been presented with the World Cup as the captain of the victorious Australian team.

So, to sum up the afternoon:

...

and this little compilation of shots taken on the scoreboard at the end of the game

If you were there and took some shots of your day out, it'd be great if you'd share some of them in this thread.

Cheers,

Graham

Thanks Marc, you've taken some belters there.

Professional equipment in the hands of the skilled and that's the result you get.

Top job.

Other folk reading this ...

A few fun ones of you and your friends would be good to add too.

Got a few from the rest of the tournament as well.

Wembley before the crowds came in. Given how cold it was, I kinda wish I hadn't got there quite so early!!!

Thanks 13thM

There's nothing quite like being there, is there?

Manchester was so busy, over and above the folk attending the game.

The pre-Christmas markets and weekend revelers meant the whole day was busy and bustling.

It was a fitting end to a very successful tournament as your photos of other venues remind us.

The Christmas Market in Manchester is hugely popular, and well worth a visit, but there's no way I'd go on a Saturday!!!

I though I'd give the tram to Old Trafford a miss on Saturday and caught the train to the ground instead. The trains were rammed full, but at least the queue to get on was a little more civilised than you get at the tram stop! And after being at Wembley the week before, I'd forgot just how cramped the seats are at Old Trafford. Man Utd. must have a lot of very small supporters!!!

...we know it's to maximise attendance and dare I say it, income!

It's always fun to see 'little' Barney trying to fold himself in two to sit down there.

The trams were as you say heaving.

Next time I'd re-think the traveling, most importantly after the game when almost everyone is trying to get away at the same time.
