When we had him on loan he was superb for us. Dont no what happened when we signed him permanent tho. He just seemed to lose interest. I rate the lad on his day

Same here, bit dodgy under the high ball maybe

Other stuff - sounds like Sheffield will be bringing a full 1st team squad down here

next Sunday - now that will be a serious test

Couple of recent lottery winners HUNSLET 72 and PROGMAN struck a deal with Mr Hetherington over a couple of beers

at Headingley on Boxing Day that's how we got to sign Liam on but couldn't confirm till cheque cleared.

Rumour is Ryan B. is next to be swooped for by them wish every club had supporters like these.    :drinks::blum:

Must have been a big lottery win....

Hunslet Hawks RLFC have continued to strengthen their squad for an assault on

the Championship 1 title with the addition of 27 year old full back/winger Andy Ballard.

We needed a goal kicker bad Col so when he was made available its probably the reason Hunslet went for him and injuries to 2 of our wingers already

Not quite as far to travel - think Blackwood is about 40 miles further down than Ross on Wye:

South Wales Scorpions will play two games on the road this season as Blackwood RFC have agreed to host home fixtures against Hunslet Hawks and York City Knights.

The Hawks game will be on Sunday 11th May at 2pm, a slightly earlier time at the opposition’s request, while the York match will be played on Saturday 21st June with a 3pm kick-off.

YORK City Knights prop Jack Aldous could be made to miss the start of the Championship One season by Rugby Football League beaks.

The front-rower is to appear before an RFL disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday charged with a grade ‘B’ punching offence in the friendly against Sheffield Eagles on February 9.

Opponent Peter Green has been charged with grade ‘A’ punching in the same alleged skirmish, which occurred ten minutes into the game and which saw both players sin-binned.

Unlike Green, Aldous, who was suspended for York’s first pre-season fixture this year owing to a red card in the last match of last season, does not have the option of submitting an early guilty plea due to that previous misdemeanour.

A grade ‘B’ punching offence carries a punishment of one to two matches.

The Knights' campaign begins at home to Gloucestershire All Golds on Sunday, March 2.

The third round draw will be made from two pools with home advantage determined by a random draw for each tie. Pool A will feature 16 Kingstone Press Championships clubs; Pool B will comprise five Kingstone Press Championship One clubs and the 11 second round winners.

Prior to the draw, five of the nine Championship One clubs will be drawn at random to join the 11 community clubs in Pool B. The remaining four Championship One clubs will then join Pool A.

In a second pre-draw, two Championships clubs will then be drawn at random from Pool A and given a bye into the fourth round: this change follows the withdrawal of the French Federation clubs.
