I hear that  London are taking 3 young leeds players on loan all who have played the odd game in super league  .

Is there any big props who want to make their mark. We sure need a couple?

Maybe Austin from Wigan? I'm sure some of the excellent fringe players will play for the Broncos.

think from leeds it will be duckworth  who is a winger. minns who is a very good centre and foster  who looks good in the 2nd row .

they all need game time at a decent level  and certainly wouldn't let a team down

One year deal says a lot does it not....

BTW - A HA8 post code means London Skolars are the London club now as Barnet FC 's revenue stream has not got a London post code anymore...

Most London Broncos players have played an odd game in Superleague, thats why they only finished above the Pinks because the Pinks management can't count.

If Solomona does come to London, and the Broncos are short on wages, London is a very lonely place to be for someone with no income.

But look on the bright side, all the Poles are going back home, so maybe he could find a job in Barnet behind a Bar somewhere. (assuming the Romanians don't get there first - Daily Mail/Express headlines next Tuesday)

just keep the drinks cabinet locked and you have a good player there

I think it's potentially a good signing. However, the squad is still a bit threadbare and those that do come in now are surely going to be well behind in their preparations for the quickly forthcoming season.

great player on his day, but his day is getting rarer and rarer these days...........a recipe for disaster though with moore going to london with all the night life to distract him.

I assume you have no choice but to play the Dark Side in most NZ schools, so I won't hold that against him. He's clearly seen the light now. A few of these and a couple of Gill/Dymock types and all will be well.

Scott Moore might be do a job.

I'm not sure what the first sentence was all about but Solomona's dad and uncles were all Samoan union international players and there is alot of choices in NZ schools but most chose rugby union. Nothing wrong with that.

I dunno, he might complain about the prices of the drinks. Getting away from the RL 'spotlight' and his friends might be good for him actually, even with all the nightlife attractions that London has. Good signing if true.

Leeds Rhinos have confirmed that youngsters Alex Foster, 20, Thomas Minns and James Duckworth, both 19, will join Super League rivals London Broncos on loan for the 2014 season.

All three made their Super League debuts last season for the Rhinos and agreed long term contracts at Headingley Carnegie last year.

Second row Foster joined the Rhinos from Wetherby Bulldogs and scored his first try for Leeds in their win at the Broncos last season. He made a total of nine appearances last season. Winger James Duckworth joined the Rhinos from Whinmoor Warriors and made two appearances last season, including scoring a try in the win at Wakefield. Thomas Minns, also from Whinmoor, made three senior appearances in 2013, scoring on his debut against Castleford.

Commenting on the move, Rhinos Head Coach Brian McDermott said, "This is a great opportunity for all three players. Last season they showed their potential, with Alex Foster in particular becoming a regular in our side on merit because of his performances. They have trained well in pre-season with us and the move to London is a chance for them to be regularly involved in a first team environment. We hope all three players will have a bright future with the Rhinos and this move is a chance for them have a different life experience, away from home and all the challenges that that brings with it. A number of our current first team squad spent time away from the club on loan in their early years, including Ben Jones-Bishop who also had a year down in London, and I am sure Alex, Thomas and James will make the most of this chance."

looks like my comment from jan 10th was right about the leeds players . and in foster they get a young forward who will certainly add to there squad  . minns at centre is a strong lad with bags of pace. duckworth  has pace but is at an earlier stage in development but has the ablitiy to take over from Dixon who played for the broncos last season

I'd love it just love it if they shoved it up the people who have sneered at them, and used them as a vehicle for their small minded , self serving agendas and had a good season this year.

C'mon you broncos

Saw mataitonga against Italy at the shay and he had a great game very fast and strong and made plenty of metres from the back. Potentially an excellent signing but the broncos really are in need of some decent experienced forwards their looking very light and inexperienced at present.

Touche but this does not change the fact that its not a London post code and a Long stopping Tube ride.

Solomona confirmed as signed by the Broncos on Twitter just now.

Ian Ramsdale pointing out that the club seem to be making their player announcements at 8.00am so maybe there will be another one tomorrow.
