RIP Nigel Marland

14 posts in this topic

It is with great sadness that i woke up this morning to the news one of our very own has passed away. A great man who did wonders for the club and ORSA as well as his other interests in drama and other things. A proper gent and a true Oldham supporter not just for the club but the town. Will be sadly missed by all who knew him. God bless. RIP Nige :(

The thing I will remember most about Nigel, is his smileyness! I never saw him without a smile on his face. His love and passion for his beloved Roughyeds always hone through. RIP Nigel. GBNF xxxxx

Nigel was a credit to ORLFC and ORSA. Always polite, pleasant and supportive. He worked selflessly on behalf of his beloved Roughyeds and will be badly missed. I personally will miss one of life's true gentlemen.

It was an excellent turn-out today for one of the 'very best'. The wonderful tributes said it all. Nigel lived his life to the full but most of all, he put his energy and personality into everything with which he was involved, mostly to the benefit of others. He will be very sadly missed by all who knew him.
