What do you think the score will be today?

Just a bit fun before our game kicks off this afternoon.

Up The Town.

P.s. mildly amusing when hewer managed to get his chubby frame in the way of a pass to stop Town scoring. Scored off the scrum though so not so bad

Good hit out for Town today, Egremont had a lot of the ball and made us defend a lot, some tidy players at the mont who could do well at a higher level? Sure buck & rob will get the best out of them. Good luck to them this season.

Very important this game was on today . Not for the contest itself but to gain some match conditioning and work on gelling the squad . Couldn't go into next week with one hit out , so good trot for us . Many thanks to Egremont in aiding our preparations .

Egremont gave us a worthwhile game today and at times moved the ball about quite well. With so many subs on both sides it was difficult to keep up at times. At one point I counted 17 Egremont players warming up behind the sticks with 13 on playing. The young winger Kerridge took his try well for Town and I presume the young lad on the right wing in the first half was young Brad Fearon. Who was the big lad, number 33, was that the other lad from rugby union as he looked useful. Brocklebank certainly makes Egremont tick and he put in very big hit on Forber but whether he would be as effective in the Championship, I wouldn't like to say.

Well said David. I thought the big lad on trial number 33 looked the part, would have liked to see him given more game time today. Big Callum improved on his havens efforts as well. Duersden put himself about, and Haney is real solid under the high bomb. Not sold on Lucock yet at hooker but it's real early days with him. Think bewsher deserves another go at the pro game and would be worth a shot for town.

number 33 was brad fearon Keith. I think the 2 wingers were the penrith lads.

Sandy Kerridge started on the wing and was announced. Cant remember the name of the other Penrith fella, he looked handy though. Would sign them both. Cant remember any others i didn't know already

Edit - thought 33 was the other Penrith lad but was wrong. Fearon defo needs signed imho

Well we had 2 from penrith I take it and who were the rest?

We set off with

Carter, Lyttleton (PRU), Morris, Connor, Kerridge (PRU), Forber, Phillips C, Coward, Lucock, McGoff, Shackley, Rooney, Duerden. Subs :- Haney, Lupton, McAvoy, Gaskell, Rowlandson, Stack, Olstrum, (No. 33 Fearon), Rowlandson

I think that was it.

The other Penrith lad, Lyttleton, was named in the subs but the right winger was announced at the start as Haney but he was on the subs bench so I presumed the right winger was Fearon.
