Good team jimmy but I reckon Joel farrel and tommy Lillycrop could get a place on bench. One thing for sure is some good players will be left out

We've got good competition for places for the first team in years It's gonna be hard for Glenn to pick the right team rather him then me.

Joel Farrell looks real promising to.

Solid won't be much good against fev - we need pace and EVERYBODY putting in the tackles. Don't altogether agree with your selection jimbob, but I bet GM will, although he might find a place for Farrell.

Sunday 16 February
Kingstone Press Championship Match Preview

Dewsbury Rams v Featherstone Rovers (3.00pm)

Dewsbury Rams coach Glenn Morrison will check on the fitness of Jobe Murphy (ankle) and Callan Beckett (hamstring) before finalising his team for Sunday’s opening Kingstone Press Championship fixture against Featherstone Rovers.
Morrison said: “We’ve had a good pre-season, we’ve got some good games under our belt and we’re going into this match with a bit of confidence.
“With five teams getting relegated this year you don’t want to drop any points, and even a bonus point could be the difference between a top-eight finish and a relegation spot.”
He added: “Featherstone have got a new coach and some new players, but judging by their pre-season results they look like being the team to beat. We’ve got to make sure we’re ready to go come Sunday.”
New Featherstone coach John Bastian is without Matty Nicholson (knee) and Liam Walmsley (broken arm).
But Bastian remains confident ahead of the start of the new campaign.
Bastian said: “We’ve had some good results against some good quality teams in pre-season, but the real stuff starts this week.”

Can't wait for Sunday This should be a good game at the Rams stadium and will be a difficult match for us Hope we come away with the points a lot of money for winning the league this season and cannot afford to drop points if we want to win it

One things for sure it cannot be as cold at the match as it was last year

Forecast looks okay for Sunday but guess pitch will be pretty heavy. Think it will be close one.

Sticky pitch and far too narrow for Fev's skilful flowing football but I hope for a close exciting game (or an easy win for us, of course). Pre-season was very encouraging but this is the real thing and quite different.

Let's hope for a good gate and great atmosphere.

It's a close one, either way I reckon. Weathers to be ok Sunday aparantly . I reckon crowd will be over 1500 too. Most rams fans who iv spoke to who's missed the friendlys coming and fev reckon they could even bring up to a 1,000. Who knows may even get close to 2,000? Would be a brill start if we get that and a win! Roll on Sunday. Looking forward to this one.

Rugby league is just about in full swing with us joining in tomorrow .

Our opening game is at home against Featherstone with a 3pm KO.

So, what will the score be and who will be the first try scorer of the season?

I, for one, am not going to have the temerity to argue with the likes of Eddie Rombo about who's the best man to play on the wing!
