North Wales v Barrow Raiders

Recommended Posts

Just looked at the weather forecast for Sunday and it looks very promising, just hope that the damage to the pitch has not already been done, and the match goes ahead. Pitch inspection at 8.00am I believe.

Ryan Shaw has not been included in the squad as the coach remains faithful with the payers who have won all 3 pre-season friendlies. The final 17 should be very interesting indeed.

BARROW RAIDERS CHAMPIONSHIP OPENER GOES AHEAD

Last updated at 08:24, Sunday, 16 February 2014

BARROW Raiders’ Championship opener at North Wales Crusaders will go ahead after an early-morning pitch inspection.

The match had been under threat due to the persistent rain and high winds in the area.

Tuesday’s Conference match between Wrexham and Hereford fell victim to the elements and damage had been done to the stadium.

However, repairs to the stand at the Racecourse Ground were carried out and the weather relented sufficiently for the surface to be judged playable.

The game will kick-off as planned at 2.30pm. For team news and in-match updates, follow @paulturnerNWEM on Twitter.
