Northern Rail Bowl

5 posts in this topic

It's such a shame that the Northern Rail Bowl has been dispensed with for this season. The inaugural Skolars/North Wales Crusaders final was a superb game, played in a great spirit both on and off the pitch. Why, when there are only sixteen league matches in championship 1, has it been dropped after only one year?

It is a shame that the whole NRC comp has been dropped, probably because of the new format of the divisions next season but a pity indeed. There are 20 league matches in Champ 1 this season mate.Hope to see you all when Oldham visit, all the best for the season.

Thanks for clearing that up about the fixtures mate. I'm sure you're going to have a great season. Hoping for a Roughyeds vs Skolars grand final!

No probs, aye wouldnt be bad that GF lol, you boys playing at the Hive this season then? Me and the missus are away for the first meeting at your place but the rest of the Oldham crew will entertain you no doubt :). We will have a pint when we come down, sort something out nearer the time of the second game pal

Sounds like a plan, nice one mate. I know our first and last two games of the season will be at New River and the Hive has been discussed as a venue for the others, possibly before Broncos SL games. Hopefully this will be the case when we play on 3rd August - will make a good day out!
