Injury Toll Mounts

Recommended Posts

Even before the season gets under way proper there's been a steady flow of injuries to regular and key NRL players,

What with the Auckland Nines tournament, trial games and pre-season intensive training it seems players are pulling up in pain left right and centre!

On top of injuries reported in recent threads, news of further injuries keeps limping in:

Josh Dugan (Dragons) will be out for at least the opening month of the new season - knee ligament damage - happened in trial game vs Rabbitohs

David Shillington (Canberra) is out of R1 game vs Cowboys. he picked up a rib cartilage injury in trial game vs Knights - could  be out 2 to 4 weeks.

Talk about a tale of woe!!!

Storm premiership winger Justin O’Neill has undergone a knee operation and will miss up to six weeks in another untimely injury blow on the eve of the NRL season.

But fullback Billy Slater is all but certain to meet Manly and fellow “big three” member Cooper Cronk is firming to join him for the Round 1 blockbuster.

Storm's Travis Robinson has a knee injury. He'll be out the first month or more.

Titan's centre Jamie Dowling (ACL) will probably miss the 2014 season.

Ryan Hinchcliffe (Storm) should be OK for R1 game following his ankle injury.

Slater will probably play R1

Cooper Cronk might play R1
