With a husband in the forces we moved regularly, always pack a small box with emergency rations, kettle  tea, coffee etc

Pack by room and note the contents on the outside.

Best of luck

Really looking forward to the new house but a tad lump in the throaty.

We've been here ever since we decided we were going to be a couple 24 years now.

Kids pets buried in the back garden etc lots of memories.

From Boothtown to Wainstalls. You're welcome but it will be bitter or stout.

Sherry indeed :-/

I know Boothtown but not Wainstalls. I am working in Copley so will call in for that sherry sometime after work. QC for mine

Oh good. You'll be able to get Game of Thrones and Welsh Telly.

I can't think which you'll watch most often.

Needless to say, I had to use Google Translate.

S4C is pretty good for rugby union ... press the red button for English commentary.

BBC1 Wales and BBC2 Wales are wholly in English. Both also have rugby but, more importantly, have excellent in-house nature / biographical / history documentaries and sports-discussion programmes. Last week, there was full all-day coverage of the Welsh Open snooker tournament.

Either way, you can't get Sky Atlantic programmes like Game of Thrones and Strike Back on Virgin. My daughter's switched back to Sky for that very reason.

I'm feeling ###### off enough at the moment to go on a rampage with a samurai sword.

Good job I dont own one, is there no end to the ineptness of solicitors/estate agents?

Packing boxes. Oh what fun.

Hope it all goes well and that you don't lose anything.

Good luck Phil.

We are finally moving house a week tomorrow. This is after over a year's renovations on the place we're moving too. Inevitably it's still not finished.

All in all, it's quite stressful, and I'll be glad when we're done.

My first post on here, I have moved 6 times in the last 10 years due to being an NHS Doctor, and having to move every time my rotation shifts me, one of the advantages of NHS employ is plenty of large cardboard boxes available.

Moving from the Royal Free Hospital to a consultancy in August, in Southampton & marrying my boyfriend who is a Hull FC fan, who is already a consultant in Soton, in Cardiology, we are looking to get a small aircraft on his pilots license so we can hire a plane to travel from Soton to Humberside A/port for home games next year (2015)
