WELCOME TO NRL 2014
... and our first tipping competition the new season
.
Hope you had an enjoyable few weeks rest!
Everyone reading this is welcome to enter the competition and the ones that follow each week throughout the 2014 season culminating in the Grand Final

which will be played on Sunday, 5th October at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
Whether you've taken part before or you fancy having a go this season for the first time you're guaranteed a warm welcome.
Entries are allowed each week up until the kick off of the first game in the round
NB The first round's first game is on THURSDAY!!!

ROUND 1 QUESTIONS:

*Poll Competition:
Which Round 1 game will produce the biggest margin of victory?
- enter in the poll itself at the top and put your answer in your posting.

Now the main event of the week:

*Match tipping Competition:
Name the 8 (that's EIGHT) winning teams in NRL Round 1 2014

*Points Competition
How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in R1?
This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.

*HOME Win Competition:
How many HOME wins will there be in NRL R1 2014?

In rounds where the game is on the road and played at a neutral venue, the team named first in the fixture will be regarded as the home team for the purposes of this competition.

Fixtures:

Your reward for entry?

Animated awards will be given for the winner(s) of each competition question.
Match tipping scores will be added together as the season progresses to produce a Tipsters' Ladder which will be pinned to the top of the forum topic list page

The best of luck to everyone.
Enjoy your Rugby League! B)

Welcome back BR. Barney was missing you.

Picking Rabbitohs was shrewd. Well done those who also picked them. They just steamrolled the rocking Roosters out of the way. Hey though what's this with the judiciary getting involved before the game's over?

Ouch ...

In which case I'm excelling  - 'unfortunately'. Manly have just gone down against my own team. Serves me right for tipping against Storm - I was thrilled to be wrong in this case!

0/3

Going well ... ... ... ...

Just seen the Eels v Warriors game. Another tip goes sour on me.

Eels were strong fast and hard while the Warrioors were always on the back foot in the second half.

That's the sort of Eels performance to put on at home which might just grow the attendance for the next home game from the vociferous 14,000+ there today.

Thanks Dragons your win will be welcomed by all apart from RF. That was a mountain of points.

I've yet to watch the game as it was on very early for a Sunday morning here. I'll play catch up with it later.

Plenty of points there though.

Halfback Michael Witt left the field with a dislocated shoulder, Jack de Bellin appeared to suffer a cork, while the Tigers lost Liam Fulton early with concussion.

In better news, Keith Galloway, David Nofoaluma and Tim Simona are all expected to be back this week for the Tigers.
