All Golds, Sunday

Does anyone know the injury situation? We took some big hits last week and as Ian Talbot said, " we had no subs for the last 20 minutes" has everyone recovered? or are key players missing?

Kind Regards

The Baron.

E mail from the club.

Sheridan and Llewellyn set for second debuts!

Exciting half Lewis Sheridan and experienced campaigner Dave Llewellyn are both included in Ian Talbots squad for the weekends Challenge Cup fixture against the University of Gloucestershire All Golds.

Sheridan has resigned for the club following a stint with local amateurs Rochdale Mayfield in the National Conference League. Head coach Ian Talbot commented 'Lewis wasnt quite mature enough last season to play first team rugby. He played alot of games in the twenties but needed the experience of open age rugby. Mayfield offered him that in the NCL and he was instrumental in their fantastic finish to last season. We have kept tabs on him and he now looks physically stronger and ready for the step up. We have brought him back for the long term and he has a bright future ahead of him'.

On the return of Llewellyn, Ian commented:

'Dave returns after an extended pre season rest. He has been training for the last few weeks and is in good shape. He was one of our most consistant performers last year and will add some much needed experience'.

Talbot looks set to be without Dandy (ribs) and Casey (back) but is boosted by the availability of some dual registration players if he requires them, namely James Tilley, who starred at hooker at Featherstone.

Good luck to Lewis Sheridan if he gets in the squad for Sunday. I just hope that he gets on the field at some point in time. I have been very impressed with his game at Mayfield last season.

I'm glad to hear Lewis is back at the club, he seemed a very good prospect before but then just vanished and reappeared back at Mayfield.  Llewellyn is also welcome back always gives 100%.

This season will test our fans' resolve but we must stick at it.
